Becoming a mother in Covid times

River was born on Jan 29th. Everything was perfect and I was very excited to show this beautiful world to him. I had all this playtime, travels, classes, etc planned, and then... Covid hit us.

Becoming a first-time parent in the midst of a pandemic is not an easy task. Definitely not what I expected.

I struggled a lot! Being home with a newborn baby not able to go out was hard on me. I was depressed for a few months but thankfully I managed to get out of that state of mind and let the light in.

Of course, I'm still working on myself daily.

To help me guide through these uncertain times, I looked for many activities I could do at home with my little guy, took a lot of photos and videos to document every step of our journey, reinvented myself in many ways, started a new business... Oh boy!

And I'm more than happy to share everything with you. Either to give you some ideas, to show you that you are not alone and that we can do anything we put our mind to.

"Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn't know you had... and dealing with fear you didn't know existed."
