Palm Springs/Palm Desert family activities

What comes to your mind when you think about Palm Springs?

To me, for many years I could never imagine being much of a family destination.

And now I can confidently tell you that are fun things to do. Here are some of our favorites:

  • Cabazon Dinasour

Quick pit stop before getting to Palm Springs. Perfect to give the kiddos a car break.

You can spot the two enormous dinosaurs by the freeway.

Inside the museum, there are tons more you can take photos, interact and even go inside one of the big dinos.

Location: 50770 Seminole Drive, Cabazon, CA 92230

  • Palm Springs Air Museum

My son loves air planes so I thought would be a good idea to take him there and it ended up being better than we expected.

Besides all the amazing airplanes you can appreciate, all the information provided for each of them (World War planes, movie places, etc), you can also get inside in a few of them which is amazing for the kids!

We even got to see an old school airplane taking of :)

  • The Living Desert

Our favorite of all!

This place is simply amazing. It's huge so go prepared.

We spent 2h over there and could easily have spent more.

The highlight was without a doubt, feeding the giraffe.

The giraffe feeding is open from 9am to 4pm. My tip on this is: arrive early if you want to do that. We got to there at 8:50am and we were the first ones in line but right after, it was a 30 minutes wait.

Also, from what we heard from the staff, if there is a strong wind the Giraffes might just walk away and you will be waiting for a long time for them to come back or not get to feed them at all.

There's also a goat petting zoo whcih is fun for the little ones.

And sooo much more to see.

This place is a MUST!
