Raising kids you like

Transforming the Toddler Years

I spent a lot of time as a new parent trying to get back to my old self. But once you become a parent, as you all know, there is no going back. There is only forward.

Your children start holding up these bright beautiful smiling mirrors to your face and you’re like… oh! Right! I need to work on that trait right there.

When I gave up trying to go backwards, I got serious about being the best I could be at going forward.

That meant I needed to lean into “the work”, my work, as a parent.

I started to notice that when my child would yell, I quickly wanted to yell back to stop yelling. I went from 0-70 in a moment.

Anyone relate?

They say our children are our teachers. Because they reflect back to us our triggers.

My parents yelled at me as a child and it made me feel small. It scared me. I hated it.

And yet, here I am wanting to do the same thing to my child.

I definitely don’t want to be the parent that is yelling at their kiddo to stop yelling.

I wanted to stop the cycle. And even though I knew what to do… stop yelling. I just kept feeling it coming up in me.

I was looking for some resources for support and found very little.

But then I found raisingchildrenyoulike. Oh My God. These ladies have changed my life.

Seriously.

They just released a 2 part online program for parenting toddlers in a mindful and proactive way.

Part 2 of their program, called “Transforming the Toddler Years” - really just transformed my life. Woah!

I learned why I wasn’t able to follow through, even though I knew what to do. I completed their workbook and videos and really dug deep into what my past wounds were. And I have to tell you, it has changed my life.

Truly. There is nothing, nothing, nothing like this out there.

The course goes into so much more detail on all things toddler from tantrums, to discipline, to healthy boundaries and setting limits, to stopping the cycle of your past hurts, so we don’t pass them on.

What do you not want to pass along to your child?

If you feel like you might gain anything from a little self reflection or just need some real tools for tantrums and discipline, check out this link for all deets on their program. AND it’s so freaking affordable.

Let's become better parents!

Love,

Laila
